The Rotary Club of Fort Erie (RFE), on June 11th 2021, the first day of 10 people allowance after lockdown was lessened; handed out 5 cheques to various charities and organizations. Mayor Wayne Redekop was there for the presentations and also purchased a t-shirt to join in our launch of the very first “Buck Off” t-shirt campaign.
Thousand dollar cheques were handed out to The Army Cadets, Matthew House, Meals on Wheels, Salvation Army, and South Niagara Life Ministries.
The recipients were generous enough to purchase our Buck Off t-shirts The Buck Off campaign is RFE’s precursor subproject to RFE’s eventual Party! By buying a Buck Off t-shirt; buyers help RFE in raising funds. When they wear it, they help local businesses by advertising for them. Also buyers can get a Buck Off their meal purchase (must be $20 or more). So buyers of t-shirts benefit too! Note: Buyers must remind food servers that the restaurant need deduct a dollar from the bill; as food servers may not always remember. A win-win-win for local businesess, purchasers of t-shirts, and RFE
